Booking Details
Are there any minimum requirements?
Each of our spaces has a required food and beverage minimum spend, which varies by space and date. Please inquire with our events team for the minimums on your preferred wedding date.
There is no minimum guest count.
What does the venue rental fee cover?
Serviceware:
- Plates, Glassware, Silverware, Tablecloths, Napkins
Furnishings:
- Tables, Chairs, Couches, etc.
In-House Printing:
- Dinner Menus, Buffet Cards, Bar Menus
Décor:
- Votive Candles
Set-Up & Cleaning:
- Two hours of setup time before guest arrival and full cleaning before and after the event.
AV Equipment:
- Audio System, Microphones, TVs
What does the administrative fee cover?
The administrative fee covers all staffing costs. Additional gratuity is not expected or required.
How do I book my wedding date?
To reserve your wedding date, we require: A signed contract and a 50% deposit of the food and beverage minimum.
We accept checks, credit cards (no processing fee), and wire transfers. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding date, with any additional charges payable at the event’s completion.
When is my final guest count due?
The guaranteed guest count is due 14 days before the wedding. After that, the count may increase by up to 10% but cannot decrease.
Space Details
What is the capacity of each space?
Full Venue Buyout
- Up to 160 guests: Ceremony, seated dinner, cocktail hour, and reception with dancing
- Up to 250 guests: Cocktail-style reception (no ceremony)
Main Dining Room
- Up to 115 guests: Standing ceremony, seated dinner, cocktail hour, and reception with dancing
- Up to 150 guests: Cocktail-style reception (no ceremony)
The Loft
- Up to 80 guests: Seated dinner (no ceremony)
- Up to 90 guests: Cocktail-style reception (no ceremony)
- Up to 60 guests: Seated ceremony only
Can we host other wedding-related events at BLACKBARN?
Yes! We offer spaces for welcome drinks, rehearsal dinners, and post-wedding brunches. Check out our Private Events Page for more info!
Am I responsible for cleanup?
Personal belongings and décor must be removed at the end of the wedding. BLACKBARN will handle all venue cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and restroom maintenance.
When do we have access to the space? When do vendors need to load out?
You will have access two hours before guest arrival.
Vendors must begin load-out immediately after the event and complete it that night.
Do I need to provide event insurance?
Wedding couples do not need to provide insurance. However, outside vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) and sign our vendor agreement.
Are there vendor restrictions?
You are welcome to hire your own vendors. We also have a list of recommended professionals if you'd like referrals.
Is a wedding planner or day-of coordinator required?
Yes, a day-of coordinator is required for full venue buyouts. A full-service wedding planner is optional.
Are open-flame candles allowed?
We provide votive candles, but you’re welcome to bring additional candles.
Are DJs and live bands allowed?
Yes! We welcome live music, with a maximum band size of 8 pieces. We also offer in-house connections if you'd like to play a Spotify playlist.
Is there onsite parking?
No, but there is street parking and nearby garages within walking distance.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Can we bring our own wedding cake?
Yes! We do not charge a cake-plating fee for weddings.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies?
Yes! Your Event Manager will work with you to ensure all dietary needs are met.
Do you allow Kosher, Halal, or outside catering?
We do not permit fully outside-catered events. However, we can accommodate a limited number of meals from an outside vendor for strict Kosher or Halal dietary requirements.
Do you offer children's meals?
Yes, with pricing as follows:
- Ages 0 - 3: Complimentary
- Ages 4 - 12: Half price of the wedding package
- Ages 13 - 20: Discounted non-alcoholic package
Do you provide vendor meals?
Yes, vendor meals are priced at $70 per person.
